LegumeLinks

April 16, 2012

A collection of links relating to us/the extended Legume family/things we think are rad.

————————————————————————————————————————————-

GN Braun’s Hammered has received a sterling review at Scary Minds. Thanks go out to Jeff Ritchie for the thoughtful comments. If you require any extra incentive to slap down the cash for your very own copy, you can check out his kind words here.

Soon to be LegumeMite, Jordan Krall (His Legume Book Penetralia will be coming a bit later this year) is currently celebrating the release of his new novel, Tentacle Death Trip (Eraserhead Press). It certainly looks like a rad book (check out the cover below) and Mr Krall is yet to disappoint us at the LegumeMan HQ. Needless to say we’ll be ordering a copy post-haste and suggest you do the same too. Link to amazon is here: Tentacle Death Trip. While you’re there you just might want to track down a copy of his sublime Beyond the Valley of the Apocalypse Donkeys (Copeland Valley Press) as well. ‘Tis another of our favourites and features a Preface by Jason Wuchenich, an introduction by Garrett Cook and an afterword by Matthew Revert. Familiar names all three.

Speaking of Matthew Revert. His impressive blog Trash Complex, a veritable cornucopia of awesome, has been updated of late with his usual verve and style.

Some personal hilights to check out:

This post on Vintage Erotica (exceptionally NSFW so don’t go clicking if you are of a delicate disposition).

A lovely ode to Billie Holiday

And, of course, the latest installment in his series of Retro Penguin Paperback posts.

‘Tis a wonderful place to immerse yourself for an hour or two

Congratulations go out to Legumites Brett McBean and Steve Gerlach on the release of brand new German Editions of their works.

Brett’s Das Motel is now available from Festa Verlag and Steve’s Rage is available from Wurdack Verlag.

A hearty well done to both.

Possibly the greatest thing that has ever surfaced on the internet has come to our attention. It can be found here.

And, in good news for all you thrifty consumers out there, some LegumeMan Titles are going cheap for kindle at the moment. If you haven’t snapped them up yet, now is your chance.

All are 99c.

Until next time, we sign off. In the interim keep your eyes glued on the LegumeMan website. For soon we shall  finally be reviving the LegumeMan free series with a brand new short story by R Frederick Hamilton.

As a taste check out the art by Matthew Revert:
